RCW 28A.185.020

“The legislature finds that, for highly capable students, access to accelerated learning and enhanced instruction IS access to a BASIC education.”

Highly Capable services for this school year ended on May 20th. Services will resume again this fall. Remember, if your child is already in the program, you do not have to do anything for them to continue in the program. If you have a child who you believe would qualify for the program, we will again have an open nomination period, in December, in which you may nominate/refer them. Have a wonderful summer. See you in the fall.

As always, if your child is new to our district, and you believe they would qualify for the Highly Capable program, please contact Abbey Reynolds, Highly Capable Coordinator, at 884-7169. Also, if your child is new to our district, but they were identified as Highly Capable in your last district, please provide that information to your child's school. Once we have that information, your child will begin receiving Highly Capable Program services.
