P.E. grades 5,6,7

I have been a P.E. instructor and coach for the better part of 20 years now. Working with young people in the arena of fitness/athletics is what I have wanted to do since 9th grade. I love the energy and willingness to learn and try new things that these kids posess. Here are some tips that will help your child succeed in the area of fitness/athletics.

1. eat a good breakfast

2. spend less than an hour a day doing TV or video games

3. on days when ther is no PE, get outside to play something for an hour at least

4. join a community team in a sport that you like

5. find a non traditional sport and try it (hiking, biking, tennis, snowboarding, etc..)

6. learn more about the foods you eat, and eat an appropriate amount of calories

7. find joy in participation, not in winning
