Dear Parents,

I wanted to send you a quick letter to say hi and give you another copy of the math supplies list. I look forward to working with your child this year and hope they look forward to being in my class. My goal for all students is to feel successful in math while acquiring the 7th grade math objectives. I will have copies of our learning objectives at the open house in September or you may come in anytime and pick up a copy.

During the year I will send home progress reports at least every two weeks. I do not require progress reports to be signed and returned. I leave the responsibility of making sure that parents see progress reports to the student. If you are not seeing progress reports, talk to your student or feel free to give me a call or email and I can update you on your student's progress.

An easy way to communicate with me is by email. In fact, if you have email capabilities, feel free to email me right away and just say hi.

Some things to talk to your student about during the school year:

How they feel math is going
What questions they might have
Is the teacher meeting their needs
Do they have homework that needs to be completed (check planner or homework assignment sheet)
Is there a quiz to study for

Do they have the materials they need

If you have questions or concerns, please call me at school (884-7115) or email me at dewittd@eastmont206.org
