Parent Portal

This past year Eastmont adopted and implemented a new Student Information System (SIS). With the new program, access to the parent portal has a new requirement.

An email account is required to access the parent portal.

Parents will be able to access information for all enrolled students associated to them through the portal. Please contact building office personnel to help setup access

Text Messaging Service

(events, school closings, safety alerts, emergencies)

Eastmont uses a mass notification system to deliver text messages to your cell phone.

To receive notifications is a two-step process:

  • our student information system must have your correct cell phone number
  • each individual must opt in to receive notifications (see instructions below)

Basic steps to access the parent portal and receive text messaging:

1) Confirm your email/cell phone is accurate with building office personnel.

2) If you have not received an opt-in text, contact office personnel.

3) We will send a test text message out on 10/13/2017, if you do not receive the test, please check steps 1 and 2.

If you have chosen to not participate in the past, but would like to begin receiving text notifications, please contact office personnel to make sure your cell phone number is current and follow the directions on the attached document

FY18 Eastmont School District RFP for ISP (Internet Service Provider)

Any questions and answers that occur will be posted publicly here.

  1. December 20, 2017:
    Q.  Are we looking for a replacement to our current dark fiber solution?

    A.  No, we are only looking for Internet Service.

    Q.  Are we looking for any content filtering?

    A.  No we will handle that with our firewall.

  2. January 2, 2018

    Q.  The RFP states 30 IP addresses in a /27 scope.  Confirming that 1 of the 30 addresses would be the ISP's endpoint router.

    A.  Yes, the 30 addresses includes the ISP’s router in that number.  We need a /27 scope and your endpoint router would be considered the default gateway outbound from our firewall.

  3. January 9, 2018

    Q. Are we requesting service at all 12 locations or only 1 location (460 9th st)?

    A. Only 1 location.  Internet service will terminate at 460 9th St.  We’ll allow all of our locations internet access from our central location.

    Q. Can 2x 1GB connections be given to account for potential growth?

    A. Our preference would be a single SFP+ interface (capable of 10gb) that is rated down to the speed we are paying for.

  4. 1/10/2017 @ 9:24am

    Q. What is your average daily bandwidth?

    A. Middle of the day we are currently running 350Mb.

    Q. What is your average monthly bandwidth consumption?

    A. We do not track our overall consumption as we do not pay per the amount of traffic we utilize.  Nor would we want to.

    Q. Would you accept a 'best effort' and not a 'bandwidth guarantee'?

    A.  No we will need a class of service that guarantees the bandwidth we are paying for.  We will stress test the connection when it is implemented and periodically to confirm.
