Applied Electrical Fundamentals

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of electricity and hands-on applications used in residential, commercial, and low-voltage electrical systems. Students learn basic electrical principles, including Ohm’s Law, voltage and current relationships, and integrated circuits. Emphasis is placed on the safe use of tools and test equipment such as multimeters to build, test, and troubleshoot circuits. Laboratory activities reinforce foundational concepts while introducing industry-relevant practices that support pathways in electrical trades, low-voltage systems, telecommunications, and data center operations.
