New School Attendance Areas for 2021-2022
On February 8, 2021, the Eastmont School District Board of Directors approved new school attendance areas that were recommended by a committee of 24 Eastmont Staff, Parents, and Community Members. This is part of a larger process of reconfiguring the grade levels for each school that was initiated in 2013 to best serve our community. The new grade level configuration will be six Elementary Schools (K-6th grades), two Junior High Schools (7th-9th grades), and one High School (10th-12th grades). For more information on Reconfiguration, please go to https://www.eastmont206.org/parents-community/reconfiguration.
New attendance areas are needed to ensure each school has the capacity to serve our growing community and meet the goals below:
- Balance school enrollment and demographics across the district as best possible.
- Maximize neighborhood walking schools.
- Maximize transportation efficiency.
- Minimize student disruption as best possible.
Please note: 2021-2022 is a phase-in year to the new grade level configuration. Cascade, Grant, Kenroy, Lee, and Rock Island Elementary Schools will serve grades K-5 in 2021-2022. Clovis Point will will serve grades K-6 in 2021-2022. All Elementary Schools will serve K-6th grades in the 2022-2023 school year.
