This course is designed to help students understand and apply the basic skills necessary for a future in Cybersecurity. 

• Understand and apply the ethical practices associated with a career in cybersecurity
• Know the importance of building trust on a network to ensure security
• Recognize the difficulties with keeping the Internet secure due to its large, open design
• Understand the importance of securing data, and the tools used to do so
• Employ basic programming skills in the Python programming language
