This course is designed to help students understand and apply the basic skills necessary for a future in Cybersecurity.

Understand and apply the ethical practices associated with a career in cybersecurity
Know the importance of building trust on a network to ensure security
Recognize the difficulties with keeping the Internet secure due to its large, open design
Understand the importance of securing data, and the tools used to do so
Employ basic programming skills in the Python programming language
