Exercise Science and Human Performance
Exercise Science and Human Performance prepares students to understand how the human body functions and how it responds to exercise and nutrition. Through hands-on learning activities, students will design and implement programs that maximize wellness and performance. Activities may include body fat testing, the Proteus functional exercise test, and other sports performance assessments.
Through projects and applied learning, students will also explore ways to support individuals and teams in reaching peak performance mentally, nutritionally, and through physical activity. This course is ideal for students interested in careers such as physical therapy, athletic training, nutrition, personal training, and recreational therapy.
