Introduction to Medical Careers
A general introductory course in health sciences that includes an overview and exploration of a variety of health careers in multiple healthcare career pathways. The National Health Science Standards are the core foundation of this course. For each career they study, students examine the main tasks and challenges of professionals in that career, the treatments they administer, and the interaction those professionals have with other professionals. Where possible, students do authentic hands-on work that a professional would do.
