Welding for Careers
This Course is designed to provide students with knowledge and skills in technical welding-related fields. The course is taught with a realistic, hands-on approach, benefiting both career-oriented and college-bound students. Program content will consist of hands-on activities including instruction in the following: oxyacetylene welding, arc welding, MIG welding, TIG welding, plasma, arc and oxy-cutting processes. Students will demonstrate their acquired knowledge by producing projects in each of the content areas. Students interested in engineering, drafting, material science, welding, machining, construction and other metals related fields should take this course. This course has been articulated with Wenatchee Valley College (3 credits for full year).
