IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGUARDING FEE COVERAGE
District Waiver:
The District Office offers to pay for ONE (1) test throughout a student's high school career. A student wanting to use the District Waiver must inform the Testing Secretary for tracking purposes.
The District Waiver can be used for either the:

Considered a practice test that measures a student's knowlege of reading, writing, and math learned in the classroom. Students may meet the requirements to enter the National Merit® Scholarship Program, an academic competition for recognition and scholarships.

Counts towards scholarships, college entrance, etc. If a student signs-up and decides not to participate after the deadline has passed, the student will be responsible for the restock fee associated with the test.

The District Waiver can only be used toward either the PSAT/NMSQT or SAT; and NOT any other exams offered at Eastmont High School.
Restock Fee:
If a student chooses to not take a test after signing up, they must communicate with the Testing Secretary before the sign-up deadline. Failure to communicate will result in a restock fee.
Self-Pay:
All payments can be made at the EHS ASB Bookkeeping Office the week after testing.

College Board Fee Waivers:
College Board offers fee waivers to 11th & 12th Grade students that take the PSAT/NMSQT and/or SAT. To be eligible for the College Board Fee Waivers, please fill out the Free/Reduced Price Meal Application online. If the paper copy of the Free/Reduced Price Meal Application is submitted please fill out the Consent To Share form. These forms are required to receive school fee reductions. A student will also need to accept the fee waiver through their College Board account. The forms listed above should be turned into the Eastmont District Office and can be found on the District's Webpage: https://www.eastmont206.org/departments/food-services

Graduation Pathway Option
All public high school students are required to meet statewide graduation requirements to earn a diploma.
One requirement being the completion of a Graduation Pathway.
If a student was unable to meet one or both of the minimum scores of the Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBA) in ELA (2548) & MATH (2595), the student has the option to take the ASVAB to attempt to acheive the minimum score. A student must acheive the minimum score on the Armed Forces Qualification Test (AFQT) of the ASVAB.
Reaching the minimum AFQT score, satisfies the graduation pathway requirements in both ELA & MATH.

These exams are computer-adaptive tests designed to assist accurate placement into appropriate courses for math. You will receive your test results immediately upon completion of testing. Talk with your teacher about qualifying scores.

This is a timed 3-hour & 15-minute paper-pencil test.
It will take about 4-hours to complete...time includes the proctor instruction and breaks.
SAT Test Fee: $ 60.00
A student can choose to use the District Waiver to pay for the SAT, if they have not used it on a past test.
If a student chooses to not test and does not cancel before the sign-up deadline, or is a "no show", the student will be responsible to pay the restock fee.
CB Fee Waiver Qualifying Students Pay: $ 8.00
Students that qualify for the College Board Fee Reduction will pay a reduced fee.
Requirement: Family Income Survey and Consent To Share forms must be submitted to the District Office.
Restocking Fee: $ 30.00 *

Service. Students in areas covered by the Community
Eligibility Provision must qualify on an individual basis.

- They're enrolled in a federal, state, or local program
that aids students from low-income families
(e.g., TRIO programs like Upward Bound).
Work with the individuals coordinating these
programs to ensure that sufficient quantities of
fee waivers are requested by the deadline.

- They're homeless or live in federally subsidized
public housing or a foster home.
- They're a ward of the state or an orphan.
The following types of students are also eligible for fee waivers if they meet the eligibility criteria:
- Homeschooled students
- United States citizens who are living abroad
and will be testing outside the U.S.
- Nationals of countries other than the U.S. who
live and test in the United States or U.S. territories

- Chromebook Charger

This is a timed 2-hour digital test that will be taken on a student chromebook by accessing the Bluebook App.

The test fee can be paid at the Bookkeeping Office after taking the test on March 20, 2023.

Student that meet or exceed the minimum scores in the Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBA) for ELA & MATH, complete the Graduation Pathway requirement.

If a student is unable to meet one or both of the minimum scores, it is recommended the student reach out to their high school counselor to figure out the next best option to complete the Graduation Pathway requirement.
Listed to the left is the testing schedule for sophomores.
Students that are not testing on a specific day will be on a late start schedule, unless informed otherwise.
Running Start (RS) Students: Keep to usual schedule and attend core classes at EHS, if it doesn't conflict with RS schedule.
Junior RS Students -- College level courses excuse you from taking the WCAS test.
Skill Center (SC) Students: Need to be at EHS for testing on the day. SC Students must attend core classes according to the modified schedule.
Morning SC Students -- You will need to be at EHS for testing and will be excused from Skill Center on those days. You must still attend core classes for periods 4, 5, 6 on April 17, 19, 24.
Afternoon SC Students -- You will need to be at EHS for periods 1, 2, 3 on April 16, 18, 23 and will not attend Skill Center on those days.
You will be excused from the Skill Center.
